Olaf Viggo Peter Langer Biography

Born December 11, 1860, in Rednitz (Bavaria), to Danish parents and died November 10, 1942 in Rungsted (Frederiksberg0), Denmark. He was a painter and a draftsman.  Langer studied in Copenhagen. He exhibited between 1881 and 1884 under the name of Hansen, his father’s name, but adopted his mother’s maiden name of Langer from 1885. He is noted for a series of landscapes hear his home in Lellinge and for his illustrations for periodicals.
